:D probably wind up flipping a coin to decide what I go for.
Stick with the Nox mate unless your prepared for a long learning curve,

Numerous reasons its not for you highlighted below:D

Our Verdict: The XP Deus is a detector that you’ll either love or hate. It’s feature-loaded to the max, so this is no rookie detector. This is an expert-level machine designed for multi-purpose use around the globe. Prospect and detect like a pro with a fine-tooth comb with the Deus.

Who is the XP Deus Best Suited to?
The XP Deus is undoubtedly for the intermediate and expert detectorist. XP claims that beginners can use the factory search modes and head out the door, but we all know that fine-tuning will be required for the challenging terrains the Deus was made for. With its many adjustable settings, it will require some skill to make adjustments and set one’s own profile to create the best parameters for detecting. Having been jammed to the max with multiple features, there is a lot to learn. The good news is software upgrades are free for life. So, once you learn it, you won’t have to relearn a whole new detector system, just the updates that have been made.

You’ve had the last Minelab fad, a Nox, now get the best there is, a Deus.
There are very valid reasons people have stuck with the Deus since they came out, they are bullet proof and find stuff.
Its a no brainer to me Bob spend £800 on something that is going to fall to bits/let water in with a 2 year warrenty or spend £1100 on something that has five years warrenty and will still be going strong on 10 years time, he might be short of money Bob lend him a few £ :D

Plenty of coin mate just not sure I will get on with it.
Just seen Bob working ( sat on his arse ) he's still offering a loan of his other Deus. So I will give it a trial and see how it goes.

If your only half hearted about getting one you wont get on with it you need to dedicate yourself to a challange of mastering the deus

So I will give it a trial and see how it goes.
As above it can take a year or more to fully understand the Deus and get the best from it you need to be prepered for a long learning curve thats the only reason the deus gets a bad name people use one for a few weeks then slate it because they dont have the time or a brain to understand how to use it,

If your not preparid to put the time and effort in forget it if you think you can master it in a few months think again and get the nox,

Good luck with whatever you choose mate :).
