On the hunt for some new boots ive tried cheapish ones they last a year spent good money they last a year the sole always comes apart on the right foot due to scraping i am going to try and find a walking boot with a stitched sole.

Do Doc Martin boots still have stitched soles.

Thanks Mal there glued on sole i have been having issues with glued as stated above i am looking for a stitched sole, also i prefer a boot with metal eyes its handy to make sure the machine is working when it goes quiet.
I just use my metal knee now :)
Ive had no issues with the soles on the ones I’ve had just tend to wear at the sides with the flexion first before the sole :)

Lol Mal i run machines hot so usually have a small amount of noise sometimes it all goes quiet metal boot eyelets are a ideal quick check everything is working as it should.

Further research the boot i am looking for is called a Norwegian welt,

The welt is stitched in two separate ways; sideways through the upper to the insole and vertically to the sole, taking the Goodyear construction to the next level: ensuring durability in any environment you want to throw at it.

Its an expensive boot starting at around £200 upwards.
