I know this is not detecting related, but is anyone still using a mask when in the shops etc, i still wear mine but i feel the odd man out, i was in the chippy the other day, quite a few people in but i was the only one with a mask on, also i was in a supermarket and the same thing, feels a bit strange being the only one but i'm playing safe, the virus hasn't gone away.

I only wore mine when I had to, even when working in my taxi (my choice so I didn’t) and don’t wear one at all if I don’t have to.
The ones that people were commonly wearing were a waste of time with regards to physically stopping the virus. I’ve had a few professional medical people in my taxi tell me that. They are only slightly effective for a very short time when first worn as your breath degrades them within the first ten minutes and in any event the typical mask can only stop something 60 microns or larger, the virus was about 1 micron so more or less went straight through it. The only effective ones are the NP3 type.
One of these professionals, he was a proper chemist, told me that he believed the Goverment had brought it in as more of psychological thing to make people more aware that Covid was about so hopefully they'd take more care.

Yep the virus is small but needs a molecule of water to survive so thats where the masks come in.
I agreed most masks that were made and bought by masses were useless and just a symbolic nature.
Many are just profiteering with no concern whether they worked or not :(
The ones I was given to wear had a 2,5 micron filter incorporated in a dual layer :)
Glad I got them as being clinically vulnerable I was and still am concerned about this virus.
Managed to avoid it so far fingers crossed :)
